Marge Collins of Maggies Magic Muffins is hosting "A Magic Mission of Love" fundraiser at the Maggies Magic Muffins. The event will feature a concert by John Sailor, a basket raffle and silent action.

The purpose of the fundraiser is to help with the expenses in permforming surgeries on children born with cleft lip/palate deformities. On April 29, Dr. Richard Scheetz, a Mission of Love volunteer, will travel to Guatemala City, Guatemala to complete 30 surgeries that will allow 30 children to smile. 
 
Our Mission of Love surgery team consists of, Doctor Guillermo Chacon, Doctor Todd Bolitin, Cindy Scheetz, Derrick Scheetz, Chuck Scheetz, Kurt Zabel, Dakota Williamson, Joyce Rush, and Bob Price and Kathy Price.
 
“These children need to thrive and smile,” said Mission of Love founder Kathy Price. “They want to smile and no longer be outcasts of their community.”  Without the surgery, the children have little hope.
 
The April trip will be the sixth annual trip that volunteer surgical teams have made to help the children. Price said the surgical team members all donate their time and pay to make the trip out of their own pockets. The funds from events like the upcoming on at Maggie's Magic Muffins, goes towards surgical  supplies that are not available in Guatemala.
